  1. Mince the onion, carrot and bell pepper and cook them on medium heat with 1 tbsp of oil for about 10 mins then add the garlic and cook for another 5 mins or until they're golden..
  2. Heat the beef stock in a saucepan to be used later..
  3. Cook the meat over high heat with 1 tbsp of oil while breaking up the lumps. Keep cooking until all the water dries out and a brown crust forms..
  4. Deglaze the meat and the vegetables with 1/4 cup of wine each and cook seperately until the alcohol is fully evaporated..
  5. Add the meat and the beans to the vegetables and add the smoked paprika, cumin and chili powder and stir for 1 minute. Then add the passata and chopped tomatoes and stir for a few minutes..
  6. Finally add the beef stock and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes. You can choose to cover the pot or leave it open to reduce depending on the your desired thickness. Preferably leave it uncovered.
